Featuring The Reichert Report

Whatever seems to be at the forefront, we seem to be talkin about it. The World is an interesting place and we are living through very interesting times. Being San Diego natives, we like to focus on what we can do to help California live up to The Golden State. Lord knows we could use some help. Teaming up with local activists and people who want the best for San Diego. Shining light on what's really going on and how you can help. Keeping it entertaining, fun and informative is our goal.

We are proud to be the only show to feature Amy Reichert and The Reichert Report, every week! Amy brings us the Top News Stories on X, from right here in San Diego , at the top of the hour. A licensed Private Investigator and Fierce Mama Bear, Amy has become the Leading Source for the hard hitting Truth in your city, San Diego!

There is a quiet reverence in tuning an old AM radio- twisting the heavy Bakelite knob like a safecracker of time itself- until the faint carrier wave rises through the evening ether. We can feel the breath of ghosts who once stood before the microphones in smoke-filled studios. Carrying the cadence of another era: measured, confident, unhurried. The signal, fragile yet persistent, mirrors life itself: imperfect, prone to fade, yet capable of piercing the night with clarity and grace. To love old AM radio with class is to cherish the distance it travels, the static it endures, and the quiet dignity of a medium that asked only for your attention- and in return gave you a voice that felt like home.. Still Talkin.

For many years, KCBQ was San Diego's only 50,000 watt AM Radio Station. It started in 1946 at only 5,000 watts. But by 1958 it moved it's transmitter (and later the studios) to rural Santee, boosting it to 50,000 watts with 6 200-foot towers. It now broadcasts from Lakeside, CA (My Hometown). You can see a monument at the old location in Santee, right in front of the IN-N-OUT Burger on Mission Gorge, honoring KCBQ 1170 for it's influence popularizing the Top 40 music format for the rest of the nation.
